Our CEO, Don Boxley, had an article published in the Electronic Engineering Times about what IT teams can learn from the July 2024 CrowdStrike-induced Windows Server outage.
Ultimately, this worldwide outage was a massive push for IT professionals to strive for a platform-agnostic future. E.g. Technologies exist that can facilitate cross-platform failover of SQL Server databases between Windows and Linux. Multi-platform redundancy of this nature would’ve allowed affected organizations to quickly migrate their SQL Server workloads from unavailable Windows Server hosts over to Linux to avoid extended downtime and effectively mitigate the disaster.
